New to the world of T-birds and classic cars

Morning All,
My name is David and my wife is Karen, we purchased a 67 Thunderbird Hardtop just last week. It is in pretty good condition considering its age. it is off to the mechainic this week for a once over before we get it on the road over the next few weeks. it has never been registered here in Aust but we have the import paperwork etc so need to go thru the red tape etc for that as well. Looking forward to getting it on the road and just driving it first then the plan is to slowly bring it back to as close to original as we can. The car is stock with no mods and we will endeavour to keep it that way as well.

Easiest way is open a Photobucket free account or similar
Bulk upload pics to PBucket then copy the image link and paste in here where you post the text.
Very quick and easy when you get use to it.

I just confirmed via the transport dept website in Qld that as of 1st October this year I do not need my car certified to LO8 by an approved person. The only requirements are to change the headlights and obtain a safety certificate before registration. I was given this info by an approved person yesterday and found the document on the QLD Transport website this morning.
The document can be found under home/safety/vehicle. standards and modifications/vehicle standards/vehicle standards notifications.

Sounds good - a bit like NZ regulations - a little fussy but easily complied with.

I had to replace rear brake drums, re-aim the wondscreen washer nozzles and replace a suspect brake hose - and that was it!
