We have been looking for a couple of parts to complete our 64 t-bird and haven't had any luck. Had to ring thunderbird HQ this morning & they suggested we try Birds Nest in Oregon. Rang them & got the missing pieces. The phone number if anyone is interested is 001118002326378. The website www.tbirdparts.com/

Ford Thunderbird Parts - Bird Nest 1958-66

specializing in 1958-1966 Thunderbird parts- new, used, and n.o.s.

One of the parts wasn't on the site but on off chance they might have it now have all we need. Now have pale blue head liner, horn (which has taken 12 months to find surround for a/c & new outside mirrors.

Have finally got the t-bird past roadworthy and registered yay. Thanks Giovanni for getting the paperwork done for us so quickly and no we didn't take it out over the weekend. John is just fixing up a few minor details on it at the moment. Its not perfect but it is only done as a driver. He has never restored a car before & has been done to the best of his ability can't wait to go out for our first drive in it. Cheers John & Sue

Well done John & Sue.
Great effort, not an easy car for a first rebuild, so just getting it done is a major achievement, Never mind the quality it's the achievement that counts for everything. just think of all the half finished cars sitting in garages all over the world that guys half your age have walked away from. there will be teething problems like we've all had but just get it out there and enjoy it. Well done to both of you.

Hi everyone, John finally got out for his first cruise last Sunday with a trip to Bunnings Scoresby where they met up with Jets car club. They then cruised up to the Belgrave Rotary club car show at Ferny Creek. It looked like a great day was had by all & he is looking forward to the 14th Dec for the next cruise. I would just like to thank everyone on here who has given John advice & encouraged him to keep going with the restoration when he was about to throw in the towel on it. We have been blessed in meeting a great group of people since John's decision to buy the t-bird & have a go at restoring it. I myself & our kids are really proud of John's effort of having a go & learning all the new skills he has learnt along the way. A special thanks to Dave, Giovanni & Neil Deane who have been very supportive to John. Once again thank you all & look forward to putting faces to names. John has told me his next build is going to be an electric scooter for me with a V8 engine in it so he can take it to car shows LOL.
