Hi Guys,
Can anyone help, I am chasing front brake drums for a 1962 Thunderbird, new or secondhand as long as they are serviceable.
Grateful for any leads.

Thanks GaryH

Hi Gary , I think the best thing , if you can is try and source a new set of Drums and replace bearings brake shoes wheel cylinders and new studs all at the same time , cost more but easier in the long run .
Cheers Arthur .

Here is a link that may help you replacing the drums , it does sound confusing.

Thanks for the generous offer Pete, but unfortunately I think they are different.
Will double check and let you know.
Having trouble sourcing new locally, waiting to hear back from a couple of suppliers.
Someone hopefully will have a secondhand set squirreled away.

BRAKE DRUMS Empty Brake Drums

Post by GaryH Wed Feb 19, 2014 9:13 am

Hi Dave,
Tried All American but they no longer supply these due to the poor quality of the imported ones.
Will try Barry today, rang him about two months ago and no luck, just hope he has new
stock in. Might have to think about converting to disc, dont really want to.

Thanks everyone for the leads and offers, this Forum really does help.
